About the XVIII International Symposium on Gas Flow and Chemical Lasers & High Power Lasers, GCL&HPL 2010 The 18th International Symposium on Gas Flow and Chemical Lasers & High Power Lasers, GCL&HPL 2010 will be dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the laser invention. It will be held from August 30 to September 3, 2010 in Sofia, Bulgaria. For over thirty years, GCL&HPL has provided an excellent opportunity for researchers in gas, chemical and high power lasers, along with the end-users of these lasers, to exchange ideas, review the state-of-the-art and foresee emerging trends. Its scope is broad, including fundamental research, laser development, systems engineering and gas, chemical and high power laser applications in a wide range of fields. This year's Symposium will continue to place a particular emphasis on nanophotonics applications and microprocessing using ultra-short pulse duration lasers. Following the tradition of precedent editions, the Symposium will bring together scientists and engineers from all over the world to create an event where members of the laser community can meet to discuss the latest achievements and to initiate new contacts and collaborations. Keynote and Invited presentations will highlight important research trends in a wide spectrum of topics. To encourage and acknowledge excellence in oral and poster student paper presentations, SPIE will sponsor three Best Student Paper Awards. The Symposium organizers are looking forward to welcoming you at the GCL&HPL 2010 in Sofia.
All persons wishing to participate in the Symposium are requested to register in advance online via the Symposium Website.
